Just returned from Gallipoli
I have to say it was a truly fantastic week. Having read about this place for many years to walk in the Nullahs and on the ridges and in the Gullys it was a real immersive experience brought back to life by Peter. Anyone with an interest in this region should come on this tour as long as you don't mind a good walk , scrabbling through the undergrowth and you must have a sense of humour ! I absolutely loved it and will return
I’ll start this five-star review
by saying that a tour of Gallipoli with Peter Hart Battlefield Tours is not for everyone. Be prepared for occasionally wandering down a wrong track, being led through thorn bushes when you eventually discover there was a thorn-free route, and descending cliff-like slopes on your backside. Be prepared for irreverent humour. But also be prepared for superlative knowledge being imparted; gaining deep learning; the tremendous comradeship of the tour guides and party, and generally an experience not matched by other tour companies. If Gallipoli is on your mind, don't hesitate. Sign up.
